'Defence spending' has always been about 'protecting the few (them), from the many' (us) ... & 'controlling the narrative' I.E. their 'convoluted' 3D reality ... And, So It was ...

Thank You  D..H.., for recording this great work ... & to YouTube (David Hoffman), for sharing  'Musical Magic' ... An excerpt: This scene with Joan Baez and Earl and Randy Scruggs with Gary in the background is just fantastic and I felt so fortunate to be there to record it. Although I was the director and the cameraman & I set up the camera & the soundman set up a single Neumann microphone. We said we were ready and we started rolling.

Remember that this was a time when Joan's husband David was in prison for protesting the draft during the Vietnam War. They just birthed a son who is seen in this scene. To answer some commentators, it was not alcohol that she gave him in that glass but water. As you can imagine, being that I am an 82-year-old documentary filmmaker with so many films to my credit, I have recorded a lot of musicians in my day. Country. Bluegrass. Mountain music. Old Time music,. Classical. Folk. Opera. Rock 'n roll.

We're All in this together ... 'Teamwork' is pulling the rope, together . . . And, So It Is! . . . Thank You P..S.., for you 'great music' & 'Love of Humanity' ... & to YouTube (Pete Seeger), for sharing ... 'What We Do Now, Will Affect Humanity' ... An excerpt: August 21, 2010 at 9 am Pete Seeger boarded the deck of the Sloop he had built in 1968 with his banjo in hand and ready to record the song he had just written with his long time friend Lorre Wyatt. Pete commissioned The Hudson River Sloop Clearwater to teach the Hudson Valley folks about the beauty of the river and the dangers of taking it for granted. The Clearwater sailed her maiden voyage in 1969 and three years later the Clean Water Act was passed.

Fast forward to 2010 when another body of water was in danger. Millions of barrels of crude oil had gushed into the Gulf of Mexico. Ready for action, some of the original Clearwater crew joined by new friends gathered aboard the now weathered Clearwater, armed with their weapons of choice: guitars, banjos and the power of a song.
