Are they 'aiding and abetting' the criminals?
You Decide!
'Aiding And Abetting' Ref : 'google A.I. search'...
- Section 21(1)(b) covers aiding.
- Aiding means helping or assisting the main offender in any way.
- It includes physical actions or deliberate omissions (failing to act) intended to help.
- Section 21(1)(c) covers abetting.
- Abetting means encouraging, instigating, or promoting a crime while it takes place.
- Spoken words or gestures of support during the crime can be enough.
Legal Penalties
- Aiders and abettors share equal criminal culpability with the main offender.
- They face the same charges and potential punishments as the primary actor. [1]
- Are you looking for information on a specific type of charge?
- Do you need details on common intention under Section 21(2)?
But, 'the truth will go marching on'!
And, 'Justice Will Prevail'!

WHEN ETHICS COLLIDE: Doctor testifies on brother's loss and lost license at Allison Inquiry
An excerpt : "If we're not focusing on the human being in front of us, what are we doing?"
In this emotional and solemn testimony at the Allison Inquiry (Day Three, 10 September 2026), Dr. Crystal Luchkiw, a family and palliative care physician, recounts the medical journey and tragic passing of her brother, Scott Gorrie. Scott served as a longtime Parliamentary aide on Parliament Hill in Ottawa before experiencing severe cardiac complications. Dr. Luchkiw shares an intimate perspective on Scott’s character, the progression of his health challenges, the clinical realities of his treatment, and the heavy toll on his young family. She also addresses the broader principles of medical ethics, informed consent, and physician autonomy. Video link:
